Here is a collage of the Dark Vengeance Chaos Lord. I decided I would do some Iron Warriors so I could have some allies for my Necrons. I am really happy with the yellow cloak. I also included a shot of his hellbrute.
I come from a time where GW took for that sstuff just 60 or so...
Yeah, they may look great, with new machines to produce.. what means, they can produce new figures in better quality for less material costs. I may be too old for what GW is doin, but i still think it's too expensive.
(btw, i got a fiance and children, so my priorities lay somewhere else now...)
I'm also married and have a son, so I know what ya mean. I remember the third edition box set and you got only a squad of tactical marines and maybe two squads of terrible looking dark eldar warriors and the full rule book. Now its 28 chaos models and 20 dark angel models all with very high end looking figures. I was expecting this box to be around $150 just from looking at the sculpts of the models alone. It also comes with scenarios to play the box two players.
Understandable, I've been trying to find other people's painted dark vengeance figures as I wait for the new set. I already have a blue and a green army color scheme and I don't want the traditional chaos red so I'm hoping to find inspiration for my army's colors before I get the set ^^
Yeah, you don't see to many Iron warriors around since they were kind of left out of the last codex. I'm hoping they make an appearance in the next one. I'm always all for coming up with your own scheme and background. Thats what I love most about my space marines. Sure I'm borrowing the colors for my chaos but have some fluff ideas floating around for them.
Yeah, I've always liked the Iron Warriors color scheme. The only issue with these models that I kind of had was that there was a lot of flesh and chaotic growths on them that Iron Warriors would usually cut off.
I'm not gonna lie, I haven't read to much fluff on them. Read a wiki entry a couple days ago, I've always been drawn to their color scheme and their love of siege warfare. Just made sense to me also that they would have a large chunk of cultist and heritic imperial guard. In an older codex they could take basalisk from what I remember.
